Ah, my dears, what a week it has been at the depot. There’s a certain hum in the air, the kind that comes before the season turns and secrets start to slip out over tea. I won’t quite spill all just yet, but I will say this: 2026’s Love on the Double has found itself a rather intriguing new location, and it’s all rather… romantic. The sort of place that practically begs for champagne flutes and confetti.
Speaking of romance, I happened to glance a ‘first sight’ of the bride by her groom this week, she stepping delicately from the bus, he waiting below as if the world itself had paused for her. Even the pigeons behaved for once.
Meanwhile, Amanda and Cindy have been knee-deep in garlands and fairy lights, preparing our dear Routemaster for her winter season. She’s looking splendid already, though I suspect they’ll add another ribbon or three before they’re through.
I’ll share more soon, once I’ve poured another cup and made certain which stories I’m allowed to tell.
