2026 Tours Are Live: Pick Your Adventure

If you’ve been meaning to try the bus or looking for things to do in Frederick, this is your moment.

Our 2026 tours are now live on the Tours page, and this year’s lineup covers three very different ways to spend a day in Frederick, depending on who you’re bringing and what kind of mood you’re in.

If you’ve got kids, or just a healthy curiosity about creatures that don’t blink properly, Reptile Adventures on the Double is a two-hour experience that combines a ride through Frederick with a hands-on stop with Wolfes Exotic Encounters. It’s part bus ride, part educational adventure, and one of the more unique family activities in Frederick MD right now.

If you’re after something slower and a bit more relaxed, Pages & Pastries is a laid-back Frederick MD bus tour that does exactly what it says. A gentle ride through downtown, a stop at Curious Iguana to browse and wander, followed by Twin Bears Bakery where things improve significantly in pastry form. It’s simple, easy, and reliably enjoyable.

And if you want something with a bit more depth, our History Series puts you on the bus with expert guides who bring Frederick’s past to life as you move through it. That includes Frederick in the Civil War, which comes with admission to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine and is led by one of their guides, History on the Double for a broader look at the city, and AARCHways to the Past, run in partnership with the African American Resources Cultural and Heritage Society (AARCH), offering a focused and meaningful look at Frederick’s African American history.

All of them are guided, all of them are built to be engaging without feeling like work, and all of them are a far better option than sitting at home wondering what to do.

Everything is now live on the Tours page, so you can have a look and pick what suits you.

Seats are limited. Best to take one before the squirrels in tiny hats form a subcommittee, file the paperwork incorrectly, and reserve the lot for “administrative purposes.”
