1. When and where should I arrive?
The Double Decker Bus will be parked along Carroll Creek, across Court Street from Frederick Social. (There is no name for this street.) Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to check in and board the bus. (Frederick Social – 50 Citizen’s Way, Frederick, MD 21701)
2. How long does the tour last?
The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.
3. What is included with the ticket?
Your ticket includes a tour of key sites throughout Downtown Frederick and a complimentary hot cocoa from Frederick Social!
4. What should I wear?
Dress for the weather, because it can get a bit nippy up top (and down below) on our vintage bus! We encourage you to don your most cheerful winter attire—cozy sweaters, sparkly hats, you name it—to really get into the spirit of the season! Just a little tip: make sure your clothing and hats are secure while we’re cruising along, so you don’t lose your festive flair in the wind! So, layer up, have fun with your outfits, and get ready to soak in the magic with us!
5. May I bring my own food & drinks?
Absolutely, you may bring your own food and drinks! Just a couple of friendly reminders: this is a family-friendly tour, so we ask that you leave the alcohol at home for this one. We want everyone to enjoy the festive spirit together! And please remember to take your trash with you when you hop off the bus—let’s keep our vintage ride as lovely as it is merry! Pack those snacks and drinks, and get ready for a jolly good time!
6. What if it rains?
While we can’t control Mother Nature, we’re ready for anything—except for heavy downpours! We’ll only go ahead in light rain mist, but if inclement weather poses a safety hazard, we’ll happily refund your tickets or reschedule you for a later tour of equal or lesser value. Just keep an eye on our social media channels (Facebook and Instagram) for updates—we’ll notify you of any cancellations at least 2 hours before the tour starts. And since our charming bus doesn’t have heat or AC, we recommend checking the forecast and dressing accordingly for the adventure! So, whether we have cloudy or clear skies, bring your festive spirit and we’ll make it a merry ride!
7. Is there an age limit for participants?
Everyone is welcome aboard our festive adventure! There’s no age limit to join the fun, but just a little note: children under 18 need to have an adult with them for safety (and a bit of holiday cheer!). And for our tiniest passengers under 3, they can ride for free as long as they’re snuggled up on an adult’s lap! If they prefer their own seat, just grab a ticket for them. We can’t wait to share the magic with guests of all ages—let’s make memories together!
8. Are there seatbelts on the bus?
Ah, the age-old question! While our charming vintage London Double Decker bus might not come equipped with seatbelts, it’s all part of the fun! We recommend holding on tight to your festive spirit as we bounce through the twinkling streets. Just think of it as a delightful ride through Wintertime charm—no seatbelts needed for this merry adventure! So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride as we take you on a jolly journey!
9. Is smoking allowed on or near the bus?
We love a good puff of cheer, but when it comes to our vintage Double Decker bus, we kindly ask that you keep smoking of any kind (including vapes, marijuana, cigarettes, cigars or other recreational/illegal drugs) off the bus! To ensure everyone enjoys the festive ride, we’ve made the decision to go smoke-free on and near the bus. So, please leave the smokes at home. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation—after all, we want this magical journey to be as merry as can be for all our guests! Cheers to fresh air and good times!
10. Are there restroom facilities on the bus?
While our delightful vintage Double Decker bus is all about the scenic views and festive fun, it sadly lacks restroom facilities. But fear not! Guests of Maryland Double Deckers are more than welcome to use the lovely restrooms at Frederick Social before or after the tour. So, make a quick pit stop and then hop aboard for a good time!
11. How do I get my tickets?
Getting your tickets is as easy as pie! Simply hop online to Maryland Double Deckers and reserve your seats for our whimsical adventure. But don’t dawdle—our tours tend to fill up quick! So, make sure to snag your tickets early and secure your spot on this amusing ride. We can’t wait to share the Winter wonderment with you!
12. May I bring my stroller on the bus?
Unfortunately, our vintage Double Decker bus doesn’t have the room for strollers—think of it as a cozy gathering instead of a spacious caravan! But don’t fret! There’s stroller parking available at Frederick Social, though we must remind you that it’s at your own risk. For a more comfortable ride, we recommend using a baby carrier. That way, you can easily keep your little one close while you soak in the festive sights!
13. Where can I park?
There is metered parking throughout Downtown Frederick and multiple parking garages. The Court Street Public Parking Garage, located at 2 S Court Street, is closest to Frederick Social.

15. What if I have to cancel my ticket?
We totally get that plans can change! While tickets are non-refundable, you can easily transfer your ticket to someone else if you can’t make it. Just let us know the name of the lucky person at least 24 hours before the tour so they can complete the required waiver. Simply send the details to [email protected].
And if we have to cancel the tour due to inclement weather or other unexpected circumstances, we’ll gladly provide a refund or a credit for a future tour of equal or lesser value. So, whether you’re passing on your ticket or rescheduling, we’ve got you covered!
16. What safety measures are in place?
Your safety is our top priority, and we’re all about having a jolly good time while keeping things secure! Our bus will have an experienced driver at the helm and a friendly Clippie (that’s our tour guide!) to ensure a smooth and safe journey for everyone. We also encourage responsible riding, so please keep an eye on your little ones throughout the adventure. We’re excited to share a fun and secure experience with you, filled with laughter and holiday cheer!
